Cryptonite Plugin v1.0
This plugin lets you pack and encrypt files. Features:
- Strong encryption with 128, 192 and 256 bit keys
- ZIP-equivalent compression levels with a choice from no to maximum compression

The plugin requires Total Commander 5.5+
Install the plugin like this:
- Unzip the contents of this archive into a directory (we suggest the Total Commander directory)
- Choose Options from the Configuration menu
- Select the Packer tab
- Click the Configure packer extensions DLLs button
- Enter the letters eaf in the box to the upper right labeled All files with extension (ending with)
- Click the New type button
- Browse to cryptonite.wcx in the folder where you unzipped it, and click Open
- Click OK to close the Associate dialog, and the other OK button to close the Configuration dialog
You use this plugin the same way that you use the internal ZIP packer and other packers from Total Commander.
- Select the file(s) which you wish to compress and encrypt
- Select Pack from the Files menu (or press Alt+F5) to display the Pack files dialog
- Select eaf from the list of extensions that appears below the regular packers once you've installed this plugin
- Click Configure if you want to change any of the settings (covered below)
- Click OK to begin compress and encrypt
- Enter a password in the dialog that shows, and press OK again
Your file(s) have now been compressed and encrypted. You can view and extract them using Total Commander by pressing Enter when the cursor is on a file packed with Cryptonite.
There are two settings that you can change to alter the way the plugin works:
- Key size
- Select whether you want 128, 192 or 256 bit keys. The more bits, the more secure (and slow) the encryption.
- Compression ratio
- No compression means just that. Useful for packing stuff that's already packed, and just need to be encrypted. Use the other options to compress super fast, fast, normal or with maximum efficiency.
Cryptonite.wcx is designed for private and commercial use without sale ("Freeware"), if the following rules are respected:
- CommSoft AB, has no responsibility if errors occures in direct or indirect relation with the software.
- Cryptonite.wcx can be distributed through non-commercial channels.
- Cryptonite.wcx is distributed in its original unaltered form, along with this documentation
